Strongest? No. Superman's face leaves ALOT to be desired. Yes there is great detail but notb the strongest. Steven's is the strongest. As far as details, Peter has the Daily Planet, LecCorp and it's interesting that he is the only one that had them kissing. He missed some of Clark's physique though. Should have made him seem more defined. Again Steven and Alyssa should move on to the final, in my humble opinion.
It IS certainly strange how Greg's is suddenly almost tied with the first place picture especially since he had JUST barely made it on to the next round in all of the previous contests. Of course all of these have their pros and cons, however, I'd have to say it is most definitely more of a tie between Alyssa and Steven. Good luck to everyone though!
All artists have their own distinguished style of illustrating their peices. The fourth art peice by Mr. Kimmet is an example of an artist "thinking out the box". Maybe, one is too blind to see what he is trying to potray through his peice, but the message is quite clear. If one were to analyze the pictures above, they would realize that all three of them defines good looks of both, the super hero, and the damsel in distress. However, the fourth one doesn't. Mr. Kimmet's art shows how an unatractive damsel in distress can be saved by a super hero, who is still a hero without the great looks. No doubt, Greg Kimmet is an artist with a creative mind, but his art expresses a different side to a super hero than the one shown in society through movies. In my opinion, his art is the strongest, as it illustrates a good message to all the superhero lovers. Therefore, all the peices here are excellent, but some stands out just a bit more than others. Good luck to all the particpant!
Yes, you are correct after reading your well thoughtful analyse, I have come to conclusion that Mr. Kimmet's art work is by far a piece that illustrates reality.
i love mr. kimmett's work. its definitely outside the box, and the reason he has so many votes is because he deserves to. his is the only one that catches my eye, as the others are all identical in style and have been edited with software.
I love Sash and Greg's work. They are both very detailed and you really fall into the picture. Don't get suspicious about Greg getting a lot of votes, people actually love his work. Yes, Alyssa and Peter's work is good too but I fell in love with Sash's and Greg's work. Good Luck to all four of you.
I like Greg's work. Nice depth and sense of height. The detail in the city below is awesome. Nice to see it's not a 'cookie cutter' representation of Superman. Also has a gritty 'real' feel to it. Nice work!! I voted for you.
